Fresnel Spots
Fresnels are the workhorses of stage lighting and the most common luminaire used on stage. Named after its designer, Augustin Fresnel its distinguishing feature is the stepped lens which produces a very even light that is soft at the edges and tends to project a soft shadow. The soft edge of the beam makes it easy to blend with the edges of other Fresnels to give smooth stage coverage.
